Ky-ManiWith his third untitled album close to completion, Ky-mani definitely is a star for himself. Ky-mani Marley was born February 26th, 1976 to Robert Nesta Marley, a famous Jamaican T.A. One Love starred Ky-mani as Kassa. A compelling tale of one of the most conscious Reggae artists struggling with the corruption within the industry of music. The life of the singer is altered when he meets a beautiful girl who is a member of a local church and has beautiful vocals. This film, which is yet to see theaters, received praise from critics and film festivals everywhere. Frank Flowers has directed Ky-Mani's feature film Haven. Haven was shown at Toronto International Film Festival. Furthermore, Ky-Mani has been expected to reprise his main part for Shottas II that will begin production in 2004.He was barely five years old when his father died, though Ky-mani's voice brings you back to a familiar location. The message he delivers, taking us back to the early days of the of the reggae explosion's finest, is "one love. one goal. one goal." Anita Belnavis (Falmouth, Jamaica) was an excellent tennis player. Kymani is an East African term meaning adventurous traveler. As one who lives up to his name every album, or trip, is an adventure. The Journey, his musical journey, began in the year 1999. He was an eclectic artist that was looking for his own musical niche. Many More Roads (Grammy nominated) was Ky-mani's "traditional" reggae release. The album brought out a mature Kymani. Many More Roads, as well as The Journey, were greatly received by the fans all over the world as well as established Ky-Mani's role of an independent "artist". Ky-Mani mixes roots reggae with hip-hop R&B along with contemporary jazz and hip-hop to make his own sound.
