April Ross

April Ross, a beach volleyball player from the United States is part of a select group of women who have won medals in multiple Olympics. Alix Klineman is a new Olympian and will join the team in Tokyo. Ross hopes to win her Olympic first gold medal but she is also aiming for greater. With her age of 39, this may be Ross' last chance to win the gold medal at an Olympics. Still confident but she is not sure. Ross was quoted in NBC Boston as saying that if you play your highest, and even play well we will get the gold. Also, I am going put my faith in a touch of luck. Ross is born in the year 1982. Costa Mesa California where she lived with her parents as well as a sister. The athletic pursuits she pursued was continued by Newport Harbor High School where she participated in several sports. In addition to indoor volleyball, she ran track and basketball in her pre-college days. In her final game she stood out. The college bio says that she played outside of the hitter, middle blocker, and setter throughout her volleyball time in high school. Gatorade Circle of Champions named her as the National Player 1999. Additionally, in 2000, she was named Orange County Athlete of the year for volleyball. Ross has been playing alongside Klineman since the year 2017 but her beach game had been established long before the year. It's true that she has been able to win multiple events, one of which was with an iconic volleyball player. From 2007 until 2013, she was partnered by Jennifer Kessy, who is now her coach. Together with Kessy, Ross won the World Championship in 2009, while racing internationally. They were awarded a silver medal during the 2012 Olympic Games held in London. Misty May Treanor and Kerri Jennings, the team of legends who won the 2012 Olympic Games in London, edged their opponents to claim the gold. It was fate that had them. Ross was Walsh Jennings' new partner as May-Treanor stepped down. They went on to compete for the bronze beach volleyball trophy in the Rio Olympics 2016 with Walsh Jennings. After high school and many years before hitting the beach as a professional Ross was a ball to the Trojans at USC while an NCAA. The time she spent at USC was impressive. The year 2000 was her freshman year. earned her the Pac-10 as well as NCAA Freshman's of award and become an All-American. The Trojans could also get to the Final Four with her help. Her heart was broken by a tragic incident in her second year, but she managed to become an All-American once more. Over her final 2 seasons with the Trojans program, she guided them to a national title every year. In 2003-2004, Ross was named the top collegiate female volleyball player in the United States through The Honda Sports Award. Ross was a student of international relations at USC. Margie Ross, Ross' mother, was never given the privilege of watching her daughter grow into the beach volleyball's biggest star. Ross's mom passed away due to breast cancer while she was a sophomore at USC. Her mother is still close to her heart. Margie has been an inspiration throughout her life, as well as on the beach.
